Last week's GridLife 2024 announcement marked the 52nd post here on RE. It was the completion of my commitment to do 1 year of weekly posts.
I'm ready to keep pushing forward with the site, but before doing so, I want to see if I am on the right path, both for myself and for my readers. I've got some ideas for the future of the site, but I would really like to hear from my readership to help shape what is to come.

Blogging, and for that matter any form of writing, seems to be a dying medium. However, I still believe that niche blogs and web sites similar to RE have a lot of value, and that there are eager and engaged readers out there.
This site's subscriber base hasn't grown rapidly, certainly not in comparison to what something like a popular YouTube channel can garnish. The lack of growth is [probably, mainly?] due to my lack of promoting the site. It is enough work for me to produce the article. Afterwards, I rarely put in effort to get people to read the article.
Nevertheless, seeing as though I do this for free, writing is likely to continue to be the main form of content on this site, since it comes fairly naturally to me. In example, I don't have the time, energy, or skill to produce excellent videos like my friend Mike does. I have, however, found the cadence of writing weekly short- to medium-form articles to be sustainable.
In the mean time, I am taking the month of August off from the site. This will allow me a break from writing, and a chance to focus on the future of the site, as well as some extra time to work on race car projects before the season ramps up again. The new GLTC E90 really needs some shakedown runs. I can't wait to drive that thing.
We'll be back in September, and in the mean time, thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. Every response helps!
